Thomas Haines (Solanco, Pa.), one of the nation's top juniors, gave a verbal commitment to Penn State.
Haines is a two-time state champion with a career record of 94-4. He has been a Super 32 Challenge finalist in each of the past two seasons, winning a title in 2011. He is currently riding a 48-match winning streak in scholastic wrestling.
He projects as a heavyweight in college.

Can someone explain to me why there isnt a 220 +/- weight class in college. Kids are so much bigger today that there is too big a gap between 195 and 285. It makes no sense to me.
