Andrew Hipps -- Founder & Director
Andrew Hipps is the founder of the InterMat JJ Classic. He is part-owner of InterMat and one of the co-founders of Rev Wresting Corporation. Andrew also serves as the senior editor and webmaster of InterMat. He was named 2010 National Wrestling Journalist of the Year by WIN Magazine. Andrew has contributed to several state and national publications, as well as two books, Family Ties: An American Wrestling Tradition and The Ultimate Guide to Wrestling Camps. He has covered the nation's and world's biggest wrestling events, including the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He is a graduate of Iowa State University and resides in Minneapolis, Minn. Jeremy Hipps -- Event Coordinator
Jeremy Hipps is part-owner of InterMat and one of the co-founders of Rev Wrestling Corporation. He is a senior manager at Accenture and has been with the company since 1998. Jeremy graduated from Augsburg College and was a member of three national championship wrestling teams. He currently resides in the United Kingdom with his wife Tricia and sons Owen and Walter. Kathleen Hennessy Rehbein -- Director of Volunteers
Kathleen Hennessy Rehbein serves as the director of volunteers for the InterMat JJ Classic. She is the mother of Justin "JJ" Kukowski, who the event is named after. Kathleen resides in Cologne, Minn., with her husband Bob. Kathleen can be reached at kukowskijustin@gmail.com.
Steve Elwood -- Head Recruiter
Steve Elwood serves as the head recruiter for the InterMat JJ Classic. He is also the head recruiter for The Clash, the nation's premier high school wrestling dual meet event. Steve has been instrumental in bringing many of nation's top high school wrestling programs to The Clash, including Brandon (Fla.), St. Paris Graham (Ohio), and St. Edward (Ohio), among other top programs. He attends many of the premier high school wrestling events in the United States, and has attended all but two Minnesota state high school wrestling tournaments since 1982. He also writes for InterMat. Steve resides in Rochester, Minn., with his wife Dee, and has three daughters. Steve can be reached at steveel@rstransportinc.com.
Rod Frost -- Head Official
Rod Frost will serve as the head official for the InterMat JJ Classic for the third straight year. Rod has officiated for 20 years and is a board member for the Gold Country Wrestling Officials Association, where he serves as the head of the mentoring program. He was awarded the MSHSL Officials Distinguished Service Award for 2012. Rod has worked/qualified for 17 state tournaments, officiated in the Big Ten, MIAC, NCC, and has worked the NCAA Division III National Duals, as well as the NCAA Division I West Regional twice, and several years at the NCAA Division III Iowa Conference national qualifier.Rod has served on the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) wrestling board as Charter Clinician for nine years. He was also on the MSHSL Officials Advisory Committee for two years, representing all wrestling officials. Rod has been an official at The Clash eight of the nine years. He has been an official at the Minnesota Christmas Tournament for 18 years -- eight of those years as the head official. He has officiated high school section/regional tournaments for 20 years. Rod wrestled in high school at Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville Iowa, and at the college level for Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Rod can be reached at rod.frost@charter.net.
