InterMat Announces a New
Recruiting System

While July 1 is the official day
college coaches can start calling and visiting potential recruits for 2005,
InterMat has already contacted many of the top recruits about their college
plans. InterMat is also excited to announce the release of a new recruiting
system for that ensures InterMat premium subscribers will have the latest and
most in-depth recruiting news available.
The enhanced recruiting system will allow users to better track
what the top recruits are thinking and which schools they are interested in
attending as InterMat will be in contact with many of the top wrestlers
throughout the recruiting process. We will also be providing detailed profiles
for many of the top recruits so you can read about their accomplishments,
projected weight class(es), colleges of interest and other insightful
information.
This year’s recruiting class is being hailed as one of the top
classes to come out in years and InterMat has ranked who we believe to be the
top 320 seniors. These rankings are not official and will continue to evolve
following such tournaments as the Junior Duals (June 29-July 3, 2004 in Enid,
OK) and the Junior Nationals (July 29-31, 2004 in Fargo, ND).
Headlining the stellar 2005 recruiting class is Ohio’s Dustin
Schlatter and Michigan’s Brent Metcalf. The Junior National Champions are on
everyone’s radar as the top two recruits in the country. Many believe they will
follow in the footsteps of their older brothers C.P. and Chase, to Minnesota and
Michigan, respectively. InterMat is already on the story and has the inside
scoop on what they are thinking.
To preview the new InterMat recruiting system, we are releasing
our top 10 recruits for 2005.
Note: Stars is a rating system that many of recruiting services
use to rate the athletes. Athletes are assigned 1-5 stars.
5 Stars - Future contender for a NCAA Championship.
4 Stars - Future NCAA high All-American candidate.
3 Stars - Future NCAA All-American candidate.
2 Stars - Future NCAA Qualifier
1 Stars - Future Starter
To view a profile of one of the top recruits you will simply
click the wrestlers name and you will be taken to a full profile on the
athlete. For an example click on Brent Metcalf above, you will see his full
profile. All 320 recruits will be listed in the
Premium Service section of InterMat and
profiles will be updated on a daily basis. InterMat will continue to provide new
and exciting features to the new recruiting database throughout the recruiting
year.
