Heidelberg University Graduate Assistant Wrestling Coach
Heidelberg University Graduate Assistant is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to recruiting, coaching/strength training, monitoring academic progress, marketing/promotions, and fundraising. The Graduate Assistant is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Heidelberg University, the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA DIII). The position includes full tuition, housing, full meal plan, and a stipend.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assisting in all aspects of the coaching and management of the wrestling program,
-Recruiting and scouting in accordance with the NCAA and OAC policies and procedures,
- Train and coach athletes during practices and competition,
-Supporting the academic and personal development of all athletes,
-Assist in developing/marketing of camps, clinics, youth tournament, and fundraisers
-Computer competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and video editing software
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must possess a high level of personal integrity, technical knowledge of the sport, good written and oral communication, strong organizational skills, and an outstanding work ethic.
Education
-Bachelor's Degree
Experience
-Competitive wrestling experience at the collegiate and/or international level
