Assistant Wrestling Coach
ASSISTANT COACH, WRESTLING
Northern Illinois University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Coach for Wrestling. This is a full-time, 12 month position with benefits. This person will assist the head coach in the organization, management, and coaching of a NCAA Division I wrestling team, in conjunction with other department responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in hand. Ability to demonstrate wrestling skills, match and training strategies, plus teaching progressions. Ability to communicate with and relate well to student-athletes. Ability to recruit and retain quality student-athletes including knowledge of junior clubs and high school programs. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to effectively communicate through oral, written and electronic forms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in hand. Successful competitive experience in wrestling at the university or college level.
